AIG’s Amy Stern take senior reinsurance role at Pie Insurance

Pie Insurance, an insurtech company specializing in workers’ comp insurance for small businesses, has announced several new leadership appointments, which include the addition of Amy Stern as Vice President of Reinsurance and Capital Solutions.

Stern previously served as Chief Ceded Reinsurance Officer at AIG.

Other appointments included Chris Lankford as VP of Engineering, Nick Sinigaglia as Chief Accounting Officer, and Dale Willis as VP of New Lines.

Lankford joins from Next Trucking, where he served as Chief Technology Officer, while Sinigaglia was previously Chief Accounting Officer of Money Mart and OnDeck Capital, and Willis was VP of Data Services and Insurance of Netradyne, with past roles at Progressive Insurance.

In addition to the new hires on the leadership team, Pie has added an independent director to its board with the addition of Kirsten Wolberg, who has 20 years of experience with financial and technology businesses such as Charles Schwab, Salesforce and PayPal. Most recently, Kirsten served as Chief Technology and Operations Officer at DocuSign.
