AXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of global insurer AXA, has announced the addition of Chris Cheng to its Hong Kong team as Head of Casualty.
“Chris brings a wealth of experience and will be responsible for developing our casualty portfolio across Hong Kong, China, and Macau, collaborating with our AXA Hong Kong and Macau colleagues to provide holistic solutions for clients,” an AXA spokesperson said.
Cheng is joining AXA following over 12 years with AIG, where she most recently served as Head of International Brokers.
She has held a number of roles since joining AIG in 2011 as an Underwriter, her other positions also include Senior Underwriter, Assistant Manager, Underwriting Manager and Senior Underwriting Manager, all based in Hong Kong.
Prior to AIG, Cheng served as Deputy Officer for three years at Bank of China Group Insurance Company Limited.
Cheng is one of AXA XL latest appointments as it has also recently named Jonathan Kelly as Head of Product Recall – UK & Lloyd’s and Global Underwriting Practice Leader.
The firm also appointed Anne Marie Elder to the newly created role of Global Chief Underwriting Officer, Specialty, who will start her new role on April 1.
