AXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of global insurer AXA, has appointed Jonathan Kelly as Head of Product Recall – UK & Lloyd’s and Global Underwriting Practice Leader.
Kelly has been with AXA XL since 2018.
He joined the firm taking on the role of Global Practice Leader & UK Claims Manager – Crisis Management and Special Risks.
Prior to joining the organisation, he spent nearly two decades at XL Catlin – which was acquired by AXA in 2018 – where he held a number of different roles.
He started out his tenure at the firm in 2004 as a Senior Claims Adjuster, then in 2014, he was named Claims Manager, Crisis Management.
Fast forward to 2017, he would then serve as Claims Manager – Crisis Management.
Before he joined XL Catlin, Kelly worked at MSIG Holdings, serving as a Senior Liability Claims Handler, between March 2003 – October 2004.
In addition, he also previously served as a Claims Officer at Allianz Insurance, between March 2000 – October 2001.
AXA XL recently appointed Anne Marie Elder to the newly created role of Global Chief Underwriting Officer, Specialty, effective April 1.
The company also recently named Michele Chia the Chief Underwriting Officer for Cyber in the Americas.
