Alesco Risk Management Services has appointed Donald Alcorn as managing director of its global delegated authority practice after ten years of service with the firm.
Alcorn most recently was managing director of delegated authority for the UK.
In his new role he will head up the 50 strong team which is based primarily in London and services clients globally.
He has worked in the London Market for over 25 years and joined Alesco as part of the Oxygen acquisition.
Specialist products include lender service-related products (including mortgage impairment, forced placed and flood), commercial property, general liability, personal lines, commercial and private motor, specialist liability products, accident and health, financial lines, title insurance and bloodstock.
Commenting on his new role, Donald said: “I have been part of the Alesco team for a number of years and I am very pleased to be able to take on leadership of this knowledgeable and hardworking group of risk professionals.
“We use our connections to introduce underwriters to MGAs, other brokers and cover holders to find a successful and profitable solution for their requirements. Our team differentiates itself by working hand-in hand with clients and the market.
“Our role is not to simply place capacity contracts but to manage, analyse and optimise them. I believe our track record is second to none in terms of delivering solutions and I look forward to working with the wider team to further develop our services.”
