Alex Brogden has joined InEvo Re, a Bermuda-based specialist life reinsurer backed by Macquarie Asset Management, as Chief Underwriting Officer.

Brogden brings extensive market experience, having most recently served as Group Chief Underwriting Officer at Monument Re Group for four years. He initially joined the company in 2017 as Group Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to this, the executive was a Corporate Actuary for the Phoenix Group, a financial services firm, where he served for six years.

He also worked at Swiss Re as a Pricing Actuary – Amin Re for three years, and as a Consultant at WTW for a similar period.

Commenting on his new appointment Brogden said: “A few days in and it’s very impressive, even more than I was hoping for — the team is exceptional, and having Macquarie as shareholder provides a truly outstanding platform to build from.

Adding: “I’m looking forward to getting stuck in — growing the business, structuring innovative solutions and building strong, long-term partnerships with clients.”

InEvo Re officially launched its operations on March 31, 2025, and completed its inaugural transaction with a UK insurer on the same date.

Through this agreement, the company reinsured the UK insurer’s Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) liabilities, covering both pensions in payment and deferred pensioners.

Later, in September 2025, the Bermuda-based reinsurer entered into a reinsurance agreement with a US-based life insurer covering approximately $1 billion of long-dated liabilities.

Later in the year, in December 2025, InEvo Re announced the successful completion of its third reinsurance transaction, finalising a deal with a UK-based life insurer, marking a significant expansion of the firm’s footprint in the competitive UK PRT market.
