Alliant expands Energy and Marine expertise with new First Vice President

Alliant Insurance Services has announced that Rose Calpin-Dewey has been appointed First Vice President of the firm’s Energy and Marine Group.

Rose Calpin-DeweyBased in Alliant’s Houston office, Calpin-Dewey will be responsible for providing insurance and risk advisory services to the re/insurance broker’s U.S energy and marine clients.

John Ludwig, Senior Managing Director at Alliant Specialty, said: “Alliant is committed to expanding our energy and marine expertise, specifically independent power and private equity-driven power.

“We have been strong drivers in these markets and with Rose’s background with major power generation, our energy and marine clients will benefit from her experience in this sector. She is a tremendous addition to our rapidly growing specialty practice.”

Calpin-Dewey joins Alliant from Lockton, where she was most recently a Senior Vice President, Team Leader, and was responsible for coordinating resources for renewable energy accounts and managing energy and marine service teams.

She will bring over 30 years’ risk management experience to her new role, including expertise as a risk advisor for energy and marine clients, underwriting and management skills, and time spent providing brokerage services for large power generation, oil and gas, and alternative energy clients.
