Allianz Global Corporate Specialty SE (AGCS) has appointed Oskar Buchauer as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
With effect from September 1, 2023, Claire-Marie Coste-Lepoutre, CFO of AGCS for more than four years, will hand over to Buchauer who currently serves as Head of Allianz Group Actuarial, Planning and Controlling and Group Chief Actuary.
Allianz AGCS has confirmed that the appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
At the same time, Coste-Lepoutre will take on Buchauer’s role at Allianz SE as Head of Allianz Group Actuarial, Planning and Controlling and Group Chief Actuary.
Within the role she will work closely with Allianz Group CFO Giulio Terzariol to lead and direct key strategic and financial functions across all Allianz Group divisions: Property/Casualty Insurance (P&C), Life/Health Insurance, and Asset Management.
In addition, Buchauer will become CFO at AGCS. In this role he will take direct responsibility for Finance on the Board of AGCS SE, which includes Accounting, Treasury & Tax, Actuarial, Compliance, Finance Solutions, Global Performance Steering, and Risk Management.
Prior to joining AGCS Coste-Lepoutre, from 2015 was Regional CFO of Allianz Benelux. Before taking on that role, she worked in Munich for the Allianz Group, leading the Group CFO office and then the business division for France, Benelux and Africa.
A qualified actuary, she also previously spent seven years working at McKinsey & Company, as well as five years at SCOR Reinsurance.
Meanwhile, Buchauer has served as Head of Allianz Group Actuarial, Planning and Controlling and Chief Actuary since 2018. Previously he was Chief Actuary for Allianz Group since 2010, and prior to that, Chief Risk Officer for Allianz Italy from 2005.
Buchauer is also a qualified actuary. He also previously held a range of leadership and technical roles with divisional or regional responsibilities at Allianz Group and outside Allianz with IT consulting and a local mutual insurer.
