Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS), Allianz Group’s specialist carrier for corporate insurance business, has announced the appointment of Sinéad Browne as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for AGCS UK.
Additionally, Tracey Hunt has been named as Deputy CEO for AGCS UK, with both appointments taking effect from January 1, 2019.
Browne will also continue in her responsibilities as Chief Regions and Markets Officer and takes over from current AGCS UK CEO Brian Kirwan, who is due to leave the company at the end of 2018.
Browne joined the AGCS Board in 2012 as Chief Executive Officer, before moving to her current Chief Regions and Markets Officer role earlier in 2018.
She started at Allianz Group in 1993 and has since held progressively senior roles in underwriting, organisational and strategy development and operations at Allianz Ireland, Allianz SE and Allianz Re.
Hunt joined AGCS in 2012 as Head of Growth Markets, Energy, and became Regional Head of Energy in 2015. She will also retain her current responsibilities after assuming her new position.
As Deputy CEO, Hunt will report to Browne and oversee all lines of AGCS’ business, as well as key client and broker relationships in the UK
“I’m very pleased to welcome Tracey to the position of Deputy CEO for the UK,” said Browne. “With over 20 years’ working in insurance, her wide-ranging market experience across underwriting, broking, claims and consultancy is an ideal fit for the role.”
She continued: “We will work closely together in partnership with clients and brokers to drive the business forward and continue to deliver innovative solutions to help our customers navigate the complex world of current and emerging business risks.”
“Under Brian’s leadership AGCS UK is positioned strongly for the future,” added Browne. “I would like to thank Brian for his contributions and we at AGCS wish him the very best for the future.”
