Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty names Sinéad Browne as CEO, UK

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS), Allianz Group’s specialist carrier for corporate insurance business, has announced the appointment of Sinéad Browne as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for AGCS UK.

sinead-browneAdditionally, Tracey Hunt has been named as Deputy CEO for AGCS UK, with both appointments taking effect from January 1, 2019.

Browne will also continue in her responsibilities as Chief Regions and Markets Officer and takes over from current AGCS UK CEO Brian Kirwan, who is due to leave the company at the end of 2018.

Browne joined the AGCS Board in 2012 as Chief Executive Officer, before moving to her current Chief Regions and Markets Officer role earlier in 2018.

She started at Allianz Group in 1993 and has since held progressively senior roles in underwriting, organisational and strategy development and operations at Allianz Ireland, Allianz SE and Allianz Re.

Hunt joined AGCS in 2012 as Head of Growth Markets, Energy, and became Regional Head of Energy in 2015. She will also retain her current responsibilities after assuming her new position.

As Deputy CEO, Hunt will report to Browne and oversee all lines of AGCS’ business, as well as key client and broker relationships in the UK

She continued: “We will work closely together in partnership with clients and brokers to drive the business forward and continue to deliver innovative solutions to help our customers navigate the complex world of current and emerging business risks.”
