Allianz Partners UK & Ireland has appointed Patricia Moon as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective March 1, 2023.
Moon, who previously served as the CEO of Allianz Partners Japan, brings a wealth of industry experience and knowledge to her new role.
Moon assumes the position of CEO from Tim Tozer, who stepped down from his role on February 28, 2023.
Tozer, who had been the CEO of Allianz Partners UK and Ireland since September 2018, will transition to the role of Non-Executive Chairman, replacing Mike Webb. Tozer’s extensive experience will continue to benefit the UK and Ireland business in his new capacity.
Moon’s career spans over 20 years with Allianz, during which she has worked in four different countries, across various lines of business and functions.
As CEO of Allianz Partners Japan since 2019, Moon successfully expanded the company’s operations in the country while prioritising people engagement and enhancing long-term product and digital capabilities.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, Moon stated, “I am delighted to now be leading the UK and Ireland business as CEO. I am passionate about our business and the impact it has on our customers’ lives.”
She acknowledged the dedication of the Allianz Partners UK and Ireland team in assisting individuals during challenging moments, be it while traveling, at home, or on the road. Moon emphasised the company’s mission to deliver exceptional experiences and peace of mind to customers and business partners.
Prior to her tenure in Japan, Moon served as the Global Head of HR for Allianz Partners Group in Paris, where she played a pivotal role in defining the organization’s global HR strategy and overseeing its implementation across more than 30 units worldwide. She has also held various positions at Allianz SE in Munich and Allianz Portugal.
Moon will report to Alexis Obligi, the Regional CEO for Western Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
Obligi extended a warm welcome to Patricia and expressed confidence in her ability to drive the growth journey of Allianz Partners UK and Ireland. He also thanked Tozer for his significant contributions in developing the business during his tenure and for his ongoing support as Non-Executive Chairman.
