After more than 11 years with global reinsurer Munich Re, Dr. Jonas Haug is set to join Allianz Reinsurance as Global Head of Group Ceded Reinsurance, tasked with driving the development of the firm’s reinsurance strategy in line with the Group’s risk profile.
Dr. Haug will lead Allianz Re’s Group Ceded Reinsurance team from July 1st, 2026, succeeding Sang Hun Park, who has held the role since May 2023.
He brings more than 15 years of international experience across the reinsurance and management consulting sectors to Allianz Re. Dr. Haug has a proven track record in structuring complex reinsurance programmes, leading international teams, and driving strategic transformation.
Dr. Haug joined Munich Re in 2015 as Project Manager Corporate Strategy/Reinsurance Strategy, and in 2019 was appointed Global Business Developer/Underwriter – CIP Property at the European reinsurer. He later took on the role of Global Head of Business Development at Munich Re F&C, and in April 2023 was named Client Manager for key UK motor clients.
During his tenure at Munich Re, he was responsible for one of the firm’s largest global client relationships and also steered business development for large single risk across both London and Munich.
Prior to Munich Re, Dr. Haug spent seven years with The Boston Consulting Group as Project Lead for teams of 5-12 consultants and client team members.
