AM Specialty Insurance Company (ASIC), a domestic excess and surplus insurer and accredited reinsurer, has announced the appointment of Dominick Tassone Jr. as Chief Underwriting Officer, and Anne Hoffmans as SVP of Program Underwriting.
Tassone, the newly appointed CUO, holds over four decades of primary insurance experience, having spent the last 25 years managing programs for three large carriers.
This included serving as Vice President of Underwriting for Spinnaker Insurance Company, Executive Vice President, and Head of Programs for Aspen Insurance Group, in addition to various underwriting management capacities at QBE the Americas.
In his new role as ASIC, Tassone will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the firm’s underwriting strategy, division profit and tactical growth, and underwriting standards for program business.

Meanwhile, Hoffmans, who holds over 15 years of experience in the re/insurance industry, joins ASIC as the new SVP of Program Underwriting.
Before joining ASIC, Hoffmans was a Director of Program Underwriting for the aforementioned Spinnaker Insurance Company.
Prior to this, she worked at State National in program risk management, and at Arch Insurance, primarily as a ceded reinsurance buyer.
Hoffmans is also a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and a holder of CPCU and ARe designations.
