Specialist marine managing general agent (MGA) Amphitrite Underwriting London has announced the appointment of Jack Thompson as War Underwriter, effective immediately.
In his new position he will provide support for the further development of Amphitrite’s marine war offering, delivering responsive and efficient solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the marine industry.
Thompson will be based in London and will report to Ben Jones.
The executive brings over a decade of experience to his role at Amphitrite, having most recently served as an underwriter at mutual insurance club UK War Risks.
During his tenure, he built the book of business to its largest size to date while establishing strong relationships across the maritime industry.
Thompson started his career at Markel where he trained as an underwriter.
