Amynta, a global distributor of insurance products and services, has appointed John Mattioli as the new leader of Canada for Amynta Surety Solutions.
In his new role, Mattioli will lead the build out of surety operations in the Canadian market, based in Toronto, Ontario.
Overall, Mattioli brings more than 35 years of underwriting and leadership experience in surety and commercial insurance towards the role.
He joins Amynta from NovaRisk, where he previously served as Managing Partner.
Prior to NovaRisk, Mattioli served in a variety of underwriting and leadership roles at Aviva Canada, Travelers, and Zurich.
In addition, Amynta Surety Solutions offers underwriting expertise across the commercial surety market. The company serves the Fortune 1000 market, large private account business, as well as specialty market niches.

Earlier this year, Amynta Group, Brit Ltd, a subsidiary of Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited, and Fairfax completed their acquisition of Ambridge Group from Brit for a purchase price of $400 million.
