Annja Karlsson has joined Storebrand, a Norwegian financial services company offering pension, savings, insurance and banking products, as Head of Reinsurance.
Headquartered in Oslo, Norway, Storebrand offers its products to individuals, businesses and public enterprises.
Today, it is one of the largest private asset managers in the Nordic region, with over NOK 1,000 billion invested in more than 5,000 companies around the world.
Karlsson joins Storebrand with close to ten years of industry experience, having most recently served as Country Manager at insurance company YOUPLUS.
Prior to this, Karlsson spent four years at Eir Försäkring, a Swedish insurance company that offers purely digital, retail insurance products.
The executive joined the company in 2021 as Chief Commercial Officer before being appointed Chief Operating Officer two years later.
Karlsson also served as a Broker for JLT Re when the firm opened its Stockholm office. Before that, she was a Treaty Broker for Guy Carpenter, responsible for the analysis, optimization and placement of treaty reinsurance solutions for various Nordic insurance companies.
