Antares Global, an international specialty insurance and reinsurance group, has promoted Mat Storr to Head of Reinsurance, reporting directly to Martin Campbell, Chief Underwriting Officer and Active Underwriter.
For the last four years, Storr has served as Class Underwriter, Property Treaty, for the re/insurer.
His remit as Head of Reinsurance includes leading the ongoing development of Antares Global’s reinsurance portfolio and strategy for AMAL Syndicate 1274, working closely with teams across the business, strengthening key broker relationships, and building on the success of the reinsurance team.
Storr has over 15 years’ experience in treaty underwriting, portfolio building, and management. Before Antares, he was Head of International Treaty at Agora Syndicate 3268.
After this, he spent his time in a leading role at IQUW 1856 building out of a treaty portfolio from year one of the syndicate’s operations. Storr began his career in a series of underwriting roles at Markel International.
