QIC subsidiary Antares Managing Agency has announced the promotion of Eddie Hughes to Head of Reinsurance for Antares at Lloyd’s, effective immediately.
Hughes brings more than 17 years of experience to the role, which spans across Antares Managing Agency Ltd and Antares Syndicate 1274.
He previously served as class underwriter, marine and energy reinsurance, having joined Antares in 2014 as marine excess of loss deputy underwriter.
In his new role, Hughes will report to Jim Lye, Active Underwriter for Antares Managing Agency.
“Eddie brings tremendous experience and a wealth of expertise and it’s a testament to Antares’ culture and willingness to nurture talent that we’ve been able to promote from within for this important role,” said Lye.
