Global insurance and reinsurance broker Aon has announced the appointment of Brian Gillin to its Cyber Reinsurance Solutions team as Managing Director – Cyber, Reinsurance, a New York based role.
Gillin brings to his new role extensive experience in the cyber insurance industry. He has been part of Aon for over a decade, when he joined the company as Assistant Vice President in 2011.
Since then, the executive has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility. In 2024 he was appointed Vice President and in 2029 he was named Senior Vice President – New York Team Leader.
In 2020 he became SVP – East Region Leader, a role he held before being appointed Managing Director – East Region Leader.
Commenting on Gillin appointment, David Grigg, Executive Managing Director, Reinsurance – Cyber, said: “Brian is no stranger to the cyber world having spent over 10 years with Aon advising insurance clients on managing and transferring cyber and technology risk.
“Brian brings a wealth of knowledge and insights that I am looking forward to sharing with our reinsurance clients.”
