Aon, a global insurance and reinsurance broker and risk advisor, has appointed Nicola Mondone as Head of Asset-Backed Finance and Securitisation, Credit Solutions.
In his new role, Mondone will support the broker’s financial institutions clients across the Europe, Middle East, and Asia (EMEA) region.
He will expand their access to insurance capital, with a focus on the securitisation of credit portfolios and asset-backed finance transactions, while helping lenders capture growing opportunities at the intersection of insurance and capital markets.
Mondone has over two decades of experience in the credit risk industry, bringing a strong track record in structuring and distributing insurance solutions for banks’ SRT securitisations and asset-backed credit risk transfer transactions.
Most recently, he served at Guy Carpenter as Senior Vice President for six years, in credit risk transfer & capital optimisation.
Before this, Mondone worked at AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. (AFSI) as a Business Development Director, after spending over nine years at Genworth Financial as European Enterprise Risk Manager for Mortgage Insurance.
Prior to that, he served as a Risk Pricing Manager for Europe at Genworth Financial – Mortgage Insurance Europe, and as a Product Development Manager.
Mondone has also served as a Consultant at Free Managers Srl and an Analyst at GE Capital Finance Analyst.
