Global re/insurance broker Aon has announced a new leadership structure for its U.S. specialty distribution segment within Reinsurance Solutions, spanning E&S carriers, MGAs/MGUs, program-specific carriers, hybrid fronts, and delegated authority platforms.

A dedicated leadership team has been established to oversee the segment, purpose-built to enhance Aon’s specialised expertise, strengthen relationships with carriers and MGAs, as well as improve solution delivery for clients.

These leaders will be responsible for guiding the overall strategy, execution, and growth agenda, ensuring close collaboration across Reinsurance, Commercial, Risk, Capital Advisory, and Analytics to deliver coordinated, data driven solutions to both clients and trading partners.

The appointments include Sarah Freitag, who has been named U.S. specialty distribution and E&S segment leader.

Freitag will set strategy and growth priorities, guide capability investment, and coordinate with Aon’s Commercial Risk, Reinsurance, capital advisory, and analytics teams to deliver integrated client solutions.

Additionally, Cory Schilling has been appointed MGA segment leader, tasked with spearheading Aon’s MGA segment strategy across MGAs, MGUs and delegated authority platforms.

He will serve as the primary executive contact for MGA clients and will collaborate closely with carrier-focused leaders to align distribution strategies with client needs.

Cory Anderson has been named MGA growth leader for programs and MGAs/MGUs, tasked with driving growth through new program development and platform opportunities.

The executive will also coordinate with Aon’s Commercial Risk Solutions and specialty distribution teams for cohesive client solutions.

Lastly, Max McClure has been named program-focused carrier growth leader. McClure has been tasked with leading growth initiatives with program-specific carriers and hybrid-front structures.

He will coordinate portfolio-level interactions with reinsurers to support carrier and program strategies that enable client growth.

Steve Hofmann, CEO of Americas for Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions, said: “Clients, carriers and MGAs are operating in an increasingly complex environment, and over the past several years Aon has made significant investments in specialized talent focused on this space. This new U.S. specialty distribution leadership team unites our talent, insights and capabilities to support our clients and stakeholders in this important segment of the U.S. market.”
