Global insurance and reinsurance broker Aon has appointed Wesley Roy as Head of Property, Australia and New Zealand, for its Reinsurance Solutions division.
Based in Sydney, Roy will lead property best practices, helping clients navigate the complexities of this challenging class and make more informed decisions across the region.
He brings over two decades of re/insurance experience spanning operations, underwriting (direct and reinsurance), broking and placement, client management, and risk and reinsurance program management.
Roy joins Aon from Hollard Insurance Australia, where he most recently served as Head of Reinsurance, overseeing the company’s internal and external treaty and facultative reinsurance arrangements.
Earlier in his career, he held roles at Aon Re in Sydney and London, as well as at Willis Re, Vero, and QBE.
