Aon plc, a global professional services company specialising in risk, retirement, health and wealth solutions, has appointed Brian Fomby as North America managing director of PathWise within the company’s Strategy and Technology Group, due to take effect on 27 July 2026.
In the role, Fomby will report to Van Beach, Aon’s Global Head of Life Solutions in the Strategy and Technology Group. He will be responsible for leading the growth and strategic direction of PathWise across North America, managing implementation programmes, broadening client offerings and strengthening key business relationships.
Fomby will also work alongside its global life solutions team to guide the development and delivery of PathWise, the company’s actuarial modelling platform. The technology is designed to support life and annuity insurers in addressing operational and strategic challenges while improving resilience and supporting sustainable, profitable growth.

According to Aon, its life solutions business brings together actuarial advisory services, the company’s PathWise modelling technology and life reinsurance broking capabilities. The integrated offering is designed to support life and annuity re/insurers, asset managers, private equity firms and other organisations active in the life insurance market.

Fomby previously worked as a principal in Milliman’s life technology solutions practice before moving to Aon. He has advised insurance clients across North America and the United Kingdom throughout his career.
