Global insurance and reinsurance broker Aon has promoted Ciaran Healy to Global Captive Leader for Commercial Risk Solutions, effective January 1st, 2025, based in Dublin.
The promotion of Healy sees John English take on the role of Chairman of Aon Global Risk Consulting (AGRC).
In the new role, Healy will focus on accelerating the broker’s core capabilities for clients, including captive management, captive advisory, captive reinsurance, insurance linked securities, and protected cell companies.
Healy will report to Richard Waterer, Global Leader of AGRC, and lead a team of more than 500 colleagues, predominantly in North America and EMEA regions.
Healy brings over two decades of experience in captive management and risk financing experience. Most recently, he served as the Chief Commercial Officer for AGRC and previously as Client Solutions Director for Aon’s captive solutions in EMEA.
Waterer commented on the appointment, “Ciaran is a highly effective, client-centric and commercially driven leader with great experience to build on the momentum we’re seeing in the captive space and the increasingly central role that captives will assume in Aon’s broader Risk Capital strategy across Reinsurance and Commercial Risk.
