Aon plc, the global professional services company specialising in risk, retirement and health solutions, has announced the appointment of Mike Pasterick as North America Health Leader, effective immediately.
Pasterick will oversee Aon’s Health Solutions operations across North America, supporting clients as they respond to major developments shaping the healthcare and benefits landscape. These include the introduction of new therapies, changing employee wellbeing expectations and the growing influence of technology across the sector.
Based in the Washington, D.C. area, he will report to Anne Corona, Chief Executive Officer of North America, and Byron Beebe, Chief Executive Officer of Human Capital. He takes over the position from Farheen Dam, who now serves as Aon’s Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise Clients and Chief Client Officer.
Pasterick will be responsible for bringing together the company’s capabilities to help organisations tackle increasingly complex health and benefits issues. His focus will include supporting clients in managing healthcare costs, improving workforce outcomes and making better-informed business decisions.
Aon added that he will work alongside the company’s Human Capital and regional leadership teams to further enhance the delivery of integrated services and solutions.
Announcing the appointment, Corona said: “As organisations face rising healthcare costs and increasing complexity, Mike has a proven track record of aligning clients’ healthcare strategies with broader business priorities. His ability to bring together consulting, brokerage and delivery capabilities to create measurable impact for clients will be instrumental as we continue helping organisations make better decisions about health.”
Aon highlighted that Pasterick brings more than two decades of experience to the role, including over 13 years with the company. Most recently, he led Aon’s health business across the Northeast region, where he was responsible for driving strategy and growth for a diverse range of clients.
During that time, he worked closely with organisations to align healthcare programmes with wider business objectives, particularly during periods of organisational change such as mergers and acquisitions. The company also noted his experience in leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, client-focused solutions.
Commenting on his appointment, Pasterick said: “Organisations are navigating a period of significant change across healthcare and benefits, creating both challenges and opportunities. Aon is uniquely positioned to help clients make better decisions through the combination of our advisory expertise, data and analytics, and delivery capabilities. I’m excited to work alongside our talented colleagues across North America to help clients address their most pressing health and workforce challenges.”
