Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions has bolstered its Netherlands team with a series of senior hires.
The firm has appointed Kareem Chin as account director, Lieve Decuypere as senior broker, and Jiske Rigter as senior actuary.
As account director, Chin will take a lead role in servicing and expanding the Dutch and cross-border client base, as well as developing new business opportunities. Chin joined Aon in 2014 as a strategic advisor to multinational insurers with Aon Inpoint, before later becoming a business developer within Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions.
Additionally, Decuypere joined Aon in January 2023 to focus on the Dutch and cross-border market.
Overall, she brings a wealth of experience towards the role, through her prior experience working as a client manager, underwriting technical advisor and actuary at QBE Re and SCOR.
At the same time, Rigter also joined Aon in January 2023. Within her new role as senior actuary, she will deploy her technical advisory expertise on health and disability, risk and capital, reserving, pricing and Solvency II, having previously worked at Acture Verzekeringen, Zilveren Kruis and Agis.
Furthermore, Aon noted that Roelant de Haas, chief executive officer of Aon’s Netherlands office, will lead the Dutch Life, Accident, Health and Income operation, while Pauline Wilbrenninck and Bas Ernest will continue in their roles of overseeing all related mid- and back-office activities from an operational, finance and reporting perspective.
Both Wilbrenninck and Ernest are experienced in handling reinsurance treaties, and have high knowledge on the specifics of client portfolios and the underlying operational requirements.
Roelant de Haas, commented on the appointments: “We are delighted to strengthen our team with these new appointments. This highly experienced and knowledgeable group of experts will continue to build out our position and propositions by providing reinsurance protections to clients, helping them to manage volatility, and by advising and supporting them on their risk and capital management and commercial expansion plans.”
