Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions, the reinsurance division of global broker Aon, has announced the appointment of Jose Maria Lopez as Marine Product Coordinator for EMEA Facultative Reinsurance.
This role is in addition to Lopez’s current responsibilities leading the Latin America Marine team.
In his new position, he will drive the coordination of Aon’s overall marine proposition across EMEA, ensuring alignment with business priorities and client needs across ceded facultative, wholesale, and Commercial Risk Solutions.
Lopez joined Aon in October 2014 and has since held a number of senior marine leadership roles, including Marine Associate Manager and, most recently, Marine Regional Practice Leader within Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions since 2018.
Prior to joining Aon, he worked at Grupo Morera & Vallejo – Iberoamerican Underwriting, where he held roles including Director and Reinsurance Agent, focusing on business development in South America and specialising in facultative cargo reinsurance.
