Risk services firm Applied Underwriters has announced the acquisition of Florida Casualty Insurance Company (FCIC), formerly Ashmere Insurance Company.
The newly re-branded FCIC is based in Fort Lauderdale and licensed in 41 states.
Once approved, the acquisition will form part of Applied Underwriter’s strategy to expand in key US and international markets.
“Enterprises such as the Florida Casualty Insurance Company fit neatly within our target profile for further development and for integration into our structural architecture and plans,” explained Jamie Sahara, President of Applied Underwriters.
“We see the newly re-incarnated FCIC as a sound platform in select, critical areas, as we bring innovative products to the market through our exceptional network of independent agents and brokers,” Sahara added.
