Global climate risk coverage platform, Arbol, has announced the appointment of Deanne Nixon, a reinsurance consultant and former President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), as Senior Advisor for Reinsurance.
Nixon brings more than three decades of re/insurance industry leadership to Arbol, and will play a vital role in strengthening the firm’s offerings, particularly its parametric named storm reinsurance solution which is designed to fill protection gaps.
Most recently, Nixon served as a Consultant at reinsurer Cincinnati Re for around six months, having previously held various leadership roles at Weston Insurance, including as President, CEO and Director, and also Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO).
Earlier in her career, Nixon worked at Sirius International as a Senior Vice President, and also as President of Sirius Capital Markets (Bermuda).
Before this, she spent more than three years with Folksamerica, and also worked at insurer CNA for more than a decade.
“With over 30 years of leadership experience in the industry, Deanne is exceptionally equipped to drive innovation and expansion in our reinsurance capabilities,” said Arbol.
