Arch Insurance International, part of Arch Capital Group, has announced the promotion of Jason Page to the position of Head of Marine Hull & War.
He is taking over the position from Mark Watters who has retired. Page will be based in London and will report to Jake Gibbs, Head of Marine & Energy.
In his new role, he will be responsible for managing underwriting activities across a worldwide portfolio spanning sectors including ship-owners of both blue and brown water tonnage, construction and repair yards, yachts and a significant portfolio of marine war.
Page has over two decades of industry experience. He joined Arch in 2020 as Senior Underwriter of Marine Hull & War, a role he held for over two years before his promotion.
Prior to that he was a Senior Underwriter, Head of Marine & War at Markel, a company which he joined in 2000.
Commenting on Page’s appointment, Gibbs said: “Jason’s promotion to Head of Marine Hull & War is very much a natural transition. He is an exceptional underwriter who combines technical expertise with a customer service-focused approach to building long-term broker relationships. I look forward to working with him to further elevate our relevance to our brokers and market standing.
He added: “I would also like to thank Mark for his commitment to Arch over the last decade in building such an extensive and diverse portfolio. We wish him the very best for his retirement.”
