Arch Reinsurance, part of Arch Capital Group, has hired Jonathan Schriber from Bermuda-based reinsurer PartnerRe as its new President, effective August 1st, 2023.
In his new role, Schriber will be based in Morristown, New Jersey, and takes on responsibility for the company’s U.S. reinsurance operation’s underwriting portfolio, as well as oversight of its overall strategy.
Schriber brings almost three decades of industry experience to the position, and joins the business from PartnerRe, where he most recently served as Chief Underwriting Officer (CEO) of P&C Americas.
Earlier in his career, Schriber held senior roles at W.R. Berkley Corporation, ACE USA, and General Reinsurance Corporation.
At the same time, Arch has revealed that Peder Moeller, who had served as Arch Re’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), will be returning to Europe by the end of 2023 in a senior role to help advance Arch Re Europe’s strategic efforts.
