The Ardonagh Group has completed its acquisition of broker Classicus, marking a continued effort to build on its specialist capabilities and platform for growth in the Netherlands and across Europe.
Headquartered in Amsterdam, Classicus provides a range of specialist high-net-worth products for classic and luxury cars, yachts, and art collections together with other specialist high-net-worth products.
The company’s businesses also include wholesale broker, Classicus Europe and London-based Classicus Ltd, which comprises the firm’s non-EU wholesale operation.
Classicus will operate within Ardonagh Europe, as part of Ardonagh’s International platform. The broker notes that this is to complement its existing Dutch business, global brokerage Léons, an ultra-high-net-worth broker in the Netherlands on the expectation of it leading to a closer collaboration between both companies.

With Ardonagh’s recent acquisition of Klap Verzekeringsmakelaar, which is an independent, specialist commercial and personal lines broker based in Amsterdam. Ardonagh is building a comprehensive portfolio of businesses that offer a suite of complementary solutions to their Dutch customers.
