Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. member, Argo Pro, has announced senior appointments within its financial institutions and architects & engineers (A&E) divisions.
Mary Henderson has been named Senior Vice President (SVP), Head of Financial Institutions, and will be tasked with expanding Argo Pro’s capabilities in the financial institutions marketplace via new solutions, which includes the recently launched asset management form, and also by acquiring top talent to join the firm. Henderson will report to Craig Landi, President of Argo Pro.
Landi, said; “Mary and Dan have a great depth of experience in the insurance industry and proven leadership success. It is an honor to have such talented individuals join our team.”
In addition, Dan Gmelin has been appointed Vice President (VP), Underwriting, Architects & Engineers (A&E), where he will manage the A&E book of business, reporting to Bill Kelly, SVP, E&O Underwriting, Argo Pro.
Kelly, added; “I am confident that we have mapped out a strategic and profitable path to grow our book of business. Argo Pro’s recent hires will continue to build our best-in-class underwriting team.”
Henderson joins the firm from spending the last 14 years with Travelers Companies, where she most recently served as Regional Vice President. Prior to Travelers she held positions at Marsh and McClennan Companies.
Gmelin joins Argo Pro from Hiscox Insurance Company, where he recently served as SVP and manager of the A&E book of business. Before Hiscox, Gmelin held positions at Professional Indemnity Agency and CIBC Oppenheimer’s High Net Worth Private Client Group.
