ArgoGlobal bolsters leadership team with dual hires

Lloyd’s of London insurer and Argo Group subsidiary ArgoGlobal has added Jeremy Shallow as head of international specialty and Ross MacDonald as head of non-US international casualty.

Argo-GlobalBoth appointments are effective immediately and will report to John Moffatt, active underwriter of Syndicate 1200 and Nigel Mortimer, head of international casualty, respectively.

Shallow has over a decade of experience having joined Argo from Aspen in January 2016 as class underwriter, credit and political risks.

MacDonald also joined in 2016 and holds nearly two decades’ of insurance experience, having led syndicate General Liability team since May 2017.

“ArgoGlobal is gearing up for a strong 2020 as we look to capitalise on the significant opportunities in the market,” said Moffatt.

“ArgoGlobal has a wealth of talent within its business, and we are determined to nurture our team as we grow. Jeremy and Ross are outstanding underwriters with a deep understanding of their respective business areas. I look forward to working closely with them both as we enter the new year.”
