Arrow Risk Management (Arrow), a specialist MGA underwriting platform, has established its Marine Insurance Practice, which will be led by Wayne Krause as Underwriting Practice Leader.
The new practice will focus on Marine Cargo and Logistics related risks, with a broader marine offering including Stock Throughput, Project Cargo & Delay in Start-up (DSU), and Logistics Operators / Freight Forwarders Liability.
It will underwrite business on a global basis, leveraging London Market expertise and international trading relationships to support SME, mid-market and larger corporate clients across complex supply chains and multiple territories.
Business will be written through the Arrow Hub, Arrow’s MGA platform, benefitting from its operational infrastructure, specialist underwriting support and carrier data capabilities.
Krause brings more than three decades of experience across underwriting and broking within the international marine insurance market.
He joins Arrow from UPS Capital, where he served as Cargo and Logistics Underwriting Manager, with responsibility for portfolio strategy, risk appetite and sustainable profitability across complex risks.
Prior to that, Krause held senior underwriting and leadership roles at Hollard Marine, Marsh, Tokio Marine Kiln, Zurich Financial Services and Aviva Global Corporate & Specialty.
Mark Harrington, Arrow Risk’s Chief Underwriting Officer, said, “Wayne brings exceptional marine underwriting expertise, international market experience and strong broker relationships to Arrow. His technical capability and leadership experience make him ideally positioned to build a disciplined and sustainable marine portfolio on the Arrow platform.”
Krause added, “I am delighted to be launching the Marine Insurance Practice on the Arrow platform. We see strong opportunities across the marine cargo and logistics market, particularly where clients require specialist underwriting expertise, tailored solutions and responsive service across international trading environments.”
