Arrowhead Programs, part of Arrowhead Intermediaries, has established a dedicated leadership function to oversee portfolio strategy at a broader level.
Brandon Schall has been named Chief Portfolio Officer and will take responsibility for shaping strategic direction across the company’s portfolio. His focus will include strengthening partnerships with insurance carriers and ensuring consistent alignment between underwriting strategy and performance outcomes.
The decision follows a year in which Arrowhead Programs placed more than $7.9 billion in gross written premium in 2025, supported by a highly varied delegated underwriting portfolio. By introducing this role, the company aims to build closer carrier relationships while offering more tailored solutions across different markets, product lines, and risk segments.
Operating from Dallas, Texas, Schall will work alongside senior leaders to track market developments, identify areas for expansion, drive new product initiatives, and maintain alignment between carrier expectations and portfolio results.
He brings over two decades of experience to the position, including 17 years with American Specialty, an Arrowhead Programs MGU, where he held senior roles and led sales efforts with an emphasis on both growth and profitability. Most recently, he served as President of Health Special Risk, an accident and health-focused MGU within the organisation.
Following his appointment, leadership of Health Special Risk will pass to Jeff Holmes and Chris Lyons, both of whom joined Arrowhead Intermediaries through the One80 acquisition and bring extensive industry experience to their new roles.
“Carriers consistently tell us they want to do more with Arrowhead Programs,” said Schall. “My charge is to align the right opportunities and product needs across our portfolio with carrier appetite, help teams develop priority products to take to market, and drive growth initiatives for the business.”
“With the breadth and depth of our portfolio and our global footprint, we have the foundations to take a market‑leading platform to the next level,” added Tom Kussurelis, President of Arrowhead Programs. “The creation of Brandon’s new leadership role strengthens our ability to innovate, deliver niche solutions, and sustain the disciplined underwriting our partners expect.”
