Re/insurance broking firm Arthur J. Gallagher & Co has announced the acquisition of California-based Bulen & Associates Insurance Services, Inc.
Bulen & Associates is a retail property/casualty insurance agency serving commercial clients and individuals.
It was founded in 1929 and is currently based in Murrieta, southern California.
Agency Principal and Sales Manager Lisa Mosby and her team are to remain in their current location under the direction of Scott Firestone, head of Gallagher’s Southwest region retail property/casualty brokerage operations.
J. Patrick Gallagher Jr, Chairman, President and CEO, commented on the acquisition, stating, “Bulen & Associates is a highly regarded agency with deep community roots and a culture like ours. I am delighted to welcome Lisa and her associates to Gallagher.”
Its been a busy time for acquisitions at Gallagher, with the firm announcing it had acquired North Carolina-based PIUS Limited and its affiliate Newlight Capital just over two weeks ago.
At the beginning of the month, Gallagher also completed its acquisition of New York-based M&T Insurance Agency, an indirect subsidiary of M&T Bank Corporation.
Meanwhile, in August, the firm acquired Evergreen Insurance Managers for an undisclosed amount.
