Clear Blue’s former Chief Reinsurance Officer Ash Noronha has joined Fergus Reinsurance Limited, a Class 3B Segregated Account Company based in Bermuda, as Head of Business Strategy.
Fergus Re targets reinsurance of high frequency, low severity casualty insurance program business, generally on a quota share basis or through loss portfolio transfers (LPT).
Its capacity is provided by private investors seeking a long-term, conservative approach to insurance-linked investment opportunities.
Noronha brings to his new role over two decades of industry experience, joining the reinsurer from Clear Blue Insurance Group where he most recently served as Chief Reinsurance Officer (CRO).
He joined Clear Blue as Senior Vice President – Business Development and was appointed Senior Vice President – Reinsurance prior to his CRO role.
Before his time at Clear Blue, Noronha served as Reinsurance Manager at Sompo America for almost two years, following his role as Senior Vice President at Assure Re Intermediaries.
Through his career, Noronha also spent some time with Atlantic Intermediaries, John B. Collins Associates (acquired by Guy Carpenter), and Willis Re.
