Romania’s Asirom Vienna Insurance Group (Asirom VIG), which is part of Vienna Insurance Group (VIG), recently announced the appointment of Florin Niculescu has Head of Underwriting, Reinsurance unit.
Niculescu brings almost 20 years of industry experience to the new role, and will be tasked with coordinating a team of 23 people. His new role will see him streamline the company’s general insurance portfolio, while promoting continued growth across all non-life business lines.
Both in Romania and elsewhere around the world, Niculescu has held management positions with Uniqa Insurance, Generali Insurance, AIG Europe, and Marsh & McLennan Companies.
Commenting on the appointment, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asirom VIG, Juraj Lelkes, said; “Asirom VIG today is stronger, more confident and ready to tackle both challenges and opportunities of the market. As such, we will continue to develop, focusing on long-term sustainable growth and a healthy performance.”
