Aspen Insurance Group, a specialty insurer and reinsurer, has announced the promotion of Lesley Borg to Head of Power and Midstream, a London-based role.
Borg has been part of Aspen since 2016, when she joined the company as Head of International Oil & Gas. She was then appointed Senior Underwriter Upstream Energy, a role she held prior to her promotion.
Before joining Aspen, Borg worked at AIG for almost eight years, where she held a number of roles. These included Energy and Engineered Risks Senior Underwriter, Energy and Engineered Risks Senior Underwriter – MENA, and Energy and Engineered Risks Senior Underwriter for North East Zone USA.
Borg also served as a Renewable Energy Underwriter for GCube Insurance Services and a Power and Utilities/Renewable Energy Broker at JLT Group.
Commenting on her appointment at Aspen, Robin Waller, Head of Natural Resources and Construction, said: “Having worked with Lesley for several years, it’s clear to everyone that she brings a wealth of expertise.
“I’m thrilled to promote talent from within Aspen and look forward to strengthening our customer relationships in the London market with Lesley in her new role.”
