Aspen prices upsized IPO, offering could raise $457m

Aspen Insurance Holdings has announced the pricing of its upsized initial public offering (IPO) of 13,250,000 Class A ordinary shares (par value $0.001) at $30.00 per share.

aspen-logoIn April, Aspen initially planned to offer 11,000,000 Class A ordinary shares, all of which were being sold by entities affiliated with Apollo Global Management, its parent company.

At that time, the expected IPO price range was between $29.00 and $31.00 per share. The offering also included an option to purchase up to an additional 1,650,000 shares, which would have brought the total to 12,650,000 shares and raised between approximately $368.85 million and $392.15 million.

Now, with the offering increased to 13,250,000 shares, the selling shareholders have also granted underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,987,500 shares.

With this expansion, Aspen aims to raise a significantly higher total of $457.13 million if the underwriters exercise the full overallotment option.

The ordinary shares are expected to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “AHL” on May 8, 2025, and the offering is expected to close on May 9, 2025, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
