Assured Risk Cover, a leading provider of StormPeace hurricane insurance, has appointed former Florida Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty to its Board of Advisors.
McCarty served as Florida’s first appointed Insurance Commissioner between 2003 to 2016 and President of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners in 2012.
Commenting on the announcement, McCarty said, “I’m delighted and honoured to have the privilege of joining the Board of Advisors of Assured Risk Cover and I look forward to engaging with the company leadership in its quest to provide greater financial security for Floridians that may be adversely impacted by a devastating hurricane.
“I have always firmly believed that parametric insurance could be a very practical tool to enhance resiliency in society and accelerate the recovery of individual victims.”
