Asta, an independent provider of specialist underwriting platforms and services to the global insurance market, has announced the launch of MGA Verde Risk Management Limited (Verde), which received FCA regulatory approval in December 2025.
Focusing on the financial lines sector, including Commercial Crime, Management Liability, and Financial Institutions, Verde will cater to clients across the UK, Europe, and international markets.
The firm will operate as an appointed representative of Asta Underwriting Management Ltd (AUML), Asta’s MGA platform, which will provide comprehensive operational, regulatory, and professional support. As Verde grows, it will also access European markets through Asta’s Brussels-based platform.
Leadership will be provided by James Pallett and James Reynolds, both of whom bring extensive expertise in financial lines and long-standing relationships with prominent intermediaries.
Emma Plush, Director MGA & Broker Solutions at Asta, commented: “We are delighted to announce the launch of Verde and to be working with the Verde team. This marks an exciting development for the financial lines market, as Verde brings fresh expertise and a commitment to addressing gaps in coverage. Their approach will create opportunities for new products and growth, helping to shape a more dynamic and responsive market.”
James Reynolds, Director at Verde, added: “James and I are thrilled to see the launch of Verde with support from Asta. Our aim is to create solutions that offer greater choice and innovation for customers in the markets we operate in. Utilising the support from Asta allows Verde to provide exceptional service to the brokers that we deal with. We look forward to supporting clients with products that meet their evolving needs.”
The establishment of Verde marks a step in Davies’ Vision 2030, reflecting the firm’s plans for innovation and broader market coverage. As part of Davies, Asta will support both new and existing clients while extending its operations internationally. Together, Asta and Davies aim to grow their presence and develop capabilities within the insurance market.
