Aston Lark announces two UK senior appointments

Aston Lark, a Howden company, has today announced two senior appointments following the opening of two new regional offices in the UK.

Aston-LarkThe broker’s new Thames Valley office will be headed by Alistair Matthews, who also joins as a Regional Director with responsibility for a region covering existing offices in Farnborough and Alton.

Matthews brings with him more than two decades of experience in the insurance sector, most recently as Area Managing Director for Towergate Insurance Brokers.

Aston Lark, has praised his ability to deliver growth, retention and bring in new business, even in difficult trading conditions.

“We are delighted to have someone of Alistair’s calibre come on board to lead our new Thames Valley office and continue to drive our client centric culture in Farnborough and Alton, as we embark on the next exciting phase of our growth journey”, said Warren Dickson, Aston Lark Managing Director – UK Retail.

According to the announcement, the senior appointment to lead Aston Lark’s new office in South Wales will be announced in February.

Lee Parr has joined to lead the Derby office as Associate Director in Aston Lark’s Commercial division.

In his new role, Parr will help expand the broker’s reach, and deliver more support and advice to clients in the East Midlands and South Yorkshire.

He also has more than 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry and was most recently Branch Director for PIB Insurance Brokers. Prior to this he was Operations Director for Cowens Group, a provider of insurance broking and financial services.

In April 2022, Aston Lark became part of Howden, with the aim of creating a standout full-service broker.

The opening of new offices in South Wales and the Thames Valley seek to secure top insurance talent to continue its rapid growth. According to the broker, they will provide additional in-person support for clients, as well as more opportunities for both employees and emerging talent.
