Augment Risk, a reinsurance and capital solutions broker, has appointed Brad Livingston as Partner to expand its insurance-linked securities (ILS) offering.
In his new role, Livingston will be based in Nashville, and report directly to Thad Hall, Head of ILS solutions at the firm.
He has over 18 years of industry experience, with deep expertise in non-indemnity and parametric solutions, and the integration of alternative capital into traditional reinsurance markets.
Livingston has successfully executed several ILS transactions, ranging from catastrophe bonds to sidecars, representing nearly $10 billion in capital supporting global natural catastrophe risk.
Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President (EVP) at Gallagher Re, leading North American initiatives for non-indemnity reinsurance transactions. Before this, Livingston held senior leadership roles at Arbol, where he led the parametric catastrophe reinsurance business as Head of Risk Capital Solutions.
He began his career at reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter in 2007, working on ILS and catastrophe bond opportunities for its clients. In 2013, he moved to Willis Towers Watson Securities, serving as VP of ILS, responsible for developing and structuring property catastrophe reinsurance treaty opportunities for institutional investors.
In 2017, Livingston moved to AXIS Capital, working his way up to become Head of Third Party Capital and leading on its ILS initiatives. In 2019, he moved back to WTW, becoming a Director in the Willis Re Securities division.
In 2021, he joined Apollo Global Management as Managing Director within the principal structured finance group.
