AXA UK & Ireland appoints Caroline Riddy as General Counsel

AXA UK & Ireland has announced the appointment of Caroline Riddy as General Counsel, effective 7th April 2026.

AXA logoRiddy succeeds Emily Coupland, who left the company in December after 24 years working across AXA’s various UK entities.

Riddy brings more than two decades of legal and company secretariat experience within financial services.

Most recently, she worked at Lloyds Banking Group as Company Secretary for the insurance, pensions, and investments division, overseeing governance for more than 70 legal entities.

Riddy rejoins AXA UK & Ireland, having previously spent 12 years with the firm in various company secretary and counsel roles between 2012 and 2024.

Earlier in her career, she was a Senior Associate in the Corporate Insurance team at Norton Rose Fulbright.
