AXA XL, a prominent global insurance and reinsurance firm, has announced the appointment of Anthony Dagostino as the Global Chief Cyber Underwriting Officer for Commercial Lines.
Dagostino, a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the cyber insurance industry, will be based in New York and will report directly to Libby Benet, AXA XL’s Chief Underwriting Officer.
As cyber threats continue to pose significant risks to businesses worldwide, AXA XL has taken a strategic step to address these concerns head-on.
Benet highlighted the importance of cybersecurity, stating, “Cybersecurity continues to be a top risk management concern for clients across AXA. Dagostino joins AXA XL from Converge, a cyber insurance and risk management provider that he founded. His extensive expertise positions him well to lead AXA XL’s efforts in cyber underwriting and risk management.
Dagostino will head a team spanning across AXA, with responsibilities encompassing the development of product and service offerings for transferring cyber risk to commercial clients, setting unambiguous risk preferences and internationally standardised cyber underwriting principles, overseeing the management of risk aggregation, aiding in the recruitment and growth of cyber expertise, and crafting preventive measures and recovery services for AXA’s clientele.
