AXA XL Re, the reinsurance arm of AXA’s property & casualty and specialty risk division, has today announced the appointment of a range of new global product leaders.
This includes a new role for Tristan Abend, formerly Head of International Property Treaty, who will now lead International Property at the reinsurer.
Greg Dyer, who previously served as Head of Casualty Treaty at AXA XL, has been named as the new leader of US Casualty at AXA XL Re.
Additionally, Conor Gaffney, who was named Head of Specialty – Global Markets at AXA XL in April of last year, will now lead Marine, Energy, and Whole Accounts at AXA XL Re.
Marcus Gonzales was named as AXA XL Re’s Head of London Reinsurance – Head of Casualty Reinsurance Global & International Markets in January 2020 and will now lead International Casualty at the firm.
There’s also a new role for Peter Kiernan, who joined the company back in May as Head of US Property – Bermuda. He will now lead US Property at AXA XL Re.
Peter Schmidt has served as the reinsurer’s Chief Executive for Middle East & Africa, India, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and Credit & Surety Re since September of 2018. Today, it was revealed that he will lead Credit & Surety at AXA XL Re.
Finally, André Liebkopf will lead the firm’s Aviation operation. Liebkopf was named as Head of Aviation, Property & Marine in 2018.
