Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer AXIS Capital has announced the appointment of Aditya Dongre as Property Underwriting Practice Leader, Canada.
In his new role, Dongre will be based in AXIS’ Toronto office, where he will play a key role in guiding underwriting direction, working closely with brokers and colleagues to support thoughtful risk selection and sustainable portfolio growth.
He brings extensive property underwriting experience, alongside strong knowledge of the Canadian market.
Dongre joins AXIS after nearly 12 years at AXA XL, where he held various senior positions across Toronto and New York within both the Risk Consulting and Underwriting functions.
Most recently, he served as Senior Underwriter, Large Commercial Property, and previously held roles including Account Manager and Risk Consultant.
