Insurer and reinsurer AXIS Capital Holdings Limited has announced the promotion of Conrad Brooks to Chief Administrative and Legal Officer, with Christina Gray-Trefry taking over as General Counsel.
In Brooks’ expanded role, he assumes oversight of Human Resources, in addition to his current oversight of the company’s Internal Audit, Data Privacy, Legal / Compliance, and Marketing & Communication units, as well as Corporate Citizenship initiatives.
Brooks started his career as a Partner at McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP in 1997. He joined AXIS in 2007 and has been with the company for more than 17 years.
During his time with AXIS, he spent seven years as General Counsel and 10 as the Executive Vice President, Corporate Counsel.
Christina Gray-Trefry will now guide the day-to-day running of the Legal / Compliance unit.
She will continue to serve as Corporate Secretary and oversee the corporate legal and corporate secretary team. Her responsibilities include drafting proxy statements and assisting in the preparation of annual reports, maintaining investor relations, and advising on mergers and acquisitions.
Gray-Trefry joined AXIS Capital in 2016 as Vice President, Corporate Counsel.
