Specialty insurer AXIS Insurance, part of re/insurer AXIS Capital Holdings, has promoted Sharon Shaw to Head of North American Claims.
Shaw has worked at AXIS for over 11 years where she was most recently Head of North American Property, Casualty and Program Claims, with additional oversight of claims for Accident & Health and Canada claims.
Her experience dates back to 1993 where she was Branch Supervisor at GAB Robins and has also worked for Rentokil Initial and American Claims Management.
Shaw will continue to be based in Georgia, where her appointment will take place effective immediately.
Last month Fitch Ratings had affirmed the ‘A+’ (Strong) Insurer Financial Strength ratings of the operating subsidiaries of the insurer.
