Recently launched Cayman Islands-domiciled reinsurer Bay Harbor Re has appointed Chris O’Connor as Chief Operations Officer and Chief Financial Officer.
O’Connor is a seasoned executive who holds over thirty years of industry experience.
He most recently served as Area Senior Vice President at global re/insurance firm Arthur J Gallagher.
Before this, O’Connor spent almost two decades at Florida-based Stonehenge Insurance Solutions, which was acquired by Gallagher in 2019.
O’Connor has also previously served as a senior manager at law firm
Bay Harbor Re was launched as a collateralised reinsurer by former AF Group director Keith Plummer earlier this month.
The firm states that its objective is to provide its clients with personalised services, long-term partnerships, and stability.
In a written statement, Bay Harbor said, “Our leadership team, Keith Plummer, Chris O’Connor, and Joseph Wicks have secured funding and will target quota shares among other reinsurance opportunities.”
